The 5 Cs of Diamonds
• Carat: The size of the diamond – larger carat value often means higher price.
• Cut: Determines the brilliance; shapes such as round, princess or emerald influence the look.
• Color: Color scale from D (colorless, highest value) to Z (slightly yellowish).
• Clarity: Evaluates inclusions and blemishes – the fewer, the more valuable.
These characteristics help determine the quality and value of a diamond.

types of diamonds
1. Natural diamonds
• Formed over millions of years by high pressure and heat in the Earth’s interior.
• Are mined and are particularly valuable due to their rarity and natural origin.
2. Laboratory diamonds
• Are produced artificially in laboratories under controlled conditions.
• Cheaper, more sustainable and chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds.
3. Colored diamonds
• Rare variants in colors such as pink, blue, yellow or green.
• Their colour is created by chemical elements or natural radiation influences.
• Highly sought after and often more expensive than colorless diamonds.

Personal tips from the diamond expert
Your Personal Diamond Guide
I will accompany you step by step on the way to your perfect diamond – exactly as you would like to give it as a gift and as every fiancée dreams of it.
1. The shape of the diamond
First, you decide on the shape of the diamond. Should it be classic round, modern emerald cut for a clean look, or perhaps oval, which is particularly flattering for long and slender fingers? Choose the shape that best suits the personality and preferences of your future fiancée.
2. The size of the stone
After you have chosen the shape, the next step is the size of the diamond. The size plays a decisive role in the effect of the ring. The stone should reflect the personality of your fiancée:
• Big and eye-catching : Does she like designer brands and love being the center of attention? Then I recommend starting at 1.0 carat.
• Discreet and delicate : Does she prefer something subtle and not want to stand out too much? Choose a diamond between 0.3 and 0.7 carats.
But be careful: don't go too small, because the engagement ring is something that many women have imagined countless times and that they attach particular importance to.
3. The color of the diamond
Now we come to the details. How white should your diamond be? Please note: The choice of color significantly influences the price of your diamond - especially with natural stones. You can choose between the following color grades:
• D : Flawless and brilliant white – the highest quality.
• EF : Almost as high quality, but slightly cheaper.
• G : Slightly yellowish, but still pleasing to the eye.
4. Purity
Clarity is also important. It should match the color you choose. If you choose a white diamond, make sure the clarity is not too low. Black inclusions or small cracks could otherwise be visible and detract from the elegance of the stone.
5. The price
The last step is the price. Here is an example:
• You choose a classic, round diamond with 1.0 carat, an excellent color (E) and a clarity of VS.
• Natural diamond : approx. 11,000 €
• Labgrown Diamond : approx. €1,400

Tip: Natural diamonds are often chosen by people who see them as an investment or who are financially independent. Labgrown diamonds, on the other hand, now account for around 60% of sales.
I hope this guide helps you find the perfect diamond! 🥂
